Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine on Friday and into the weekend. There will be some wonderful skiing in the sun ahead this weekend. Higher pressure will block storms, but also allow some clouds at times -- mainly on Saturday. Expect no new snow this weekend or much of next week.

The big change youll notice is the temperatures. We are headed back to near or even above normal. Expect a lot of sunshine through at least mid-week. For the weekend ahead, Friday and Sunday will see the most sun. Use sunscreen, you can get fried this time of year.

Youll definitely feel like its spring skiing when the sun comes out. The mild sunny weather will be especially noticeable Sunday Wednesday.

The last six weeks have been awesome. This has been the longest sustained cold spells I can remember for February and March. New snowfall has been excellent with high quality, grade A, Poobah approved low-density snow (6% dry powder) since early February. And there has been abundant snowfall at all ski WA areas -- Seattle too! We had both quality and quantity of Cascade snowfall so much for El Nino trying to hurt us. But to be fair it was a very, very weak El Nino. I told you, Id laugh in the face of El Nino! The Grand Poobah will not be bullied by this thug you call El Nino.

Dont worry the snowpack is fantastic and even with this lull, we can easily ski through April and there will be more powder days ahead!
