Short-Term Forecast

An area of low pressure will move into our region on Friday to bring light snow, later in the day and into Saturday.


The good news is that snow levels will remain at 3000'. Later Saturday, more light snow showers. These snow totals through Saturday are reflected in the first map. Sunday, much of the area will be dry. However, chances of light snow for Crystal Mountain.

Snow coverage still thin? Yes.

  • Friday: 1 to 3" later

  • Saturday: Up to 2" slightly higher for Crystal Mt.

  • Sunday: 1" mainly near Crystal Mt..

  • Mid-Slopes - 4000 to 5500'

  • Upper-Slopes - Above 5500'

  • Monday should be dry.

  • Tuesday and Wednesday, additional snow forecast.

  • During this period, snow levels will remain close to 3000'.

  • This Friday through late Wednesday, cumulative snowfall is shown on the map.


There are lots of red colors which represent 10 to 13." Good news, the inland areas like 49 Degrees North and Silver Mt get some good snowfall.


Forecast models keep the cold air mass over the Pacific Northwest through at least Saturday, Feb 21, and likely beyond. This is reflected in the second map.


Next happy update will be Sunday, Feb 15.
