Feb 19- Snow this weekend and 15" in the Extended Outlook

Hello Skiers and Snowboarders,


Short-Term Forecast


Friday, there is just a slight chance of a few snow showers, with trace amounts. Dry with sunbreaks early Saturday, then later on Saturday and into early Sunday, expecting snow close to 5" for all slopes.

Another weather system moves in later on Sunday, and snow levels are increasing slightly, so the best chances of snow will be for the mid and upper slopes. Although lower slopes will see some snow


Snow and Weather Summary

  • Friday: Mixed bag of weather with some clouds with a few sunbreaks

  • Saturday pm to Sunday morning: Up to 5"

  • Sunday afternoon/evening: 3 to 5"

Slopes: Elevation General Guidelines


  • Lower Slopes - Under 4000'

  • Mid-Slopes - 4000 to 5500'

  • Upper-Slopes - Above 5500'




Extended Outlook:  Mon. Feb 23 to Wed. Feb 25


Monday should bring us some steady snow for the mid and upper slopes. With some light snow for Tuesday and Wednesday for the mid and upper slopes. Many models bring cumulative snowfall from late Sunday through early Wednesday at 15". The heaviest snow will be Sunday night into Monday.


Thursday and Friday, the extended forecasts bring an active storm track into the Pacific Northwest. Thus, expect additional snow over this period.

B.C Resorts


The map reflects snowpack as a percent of normal as of Feb 1. Many resorts are in the Upper Columbia Basin, which is 112% of normal. Sun Peaks is in the North Thompson Basin, which is at 103% of normal, and Big White in the Boundary Basin is at 95% of normal.
