Light snow on Friday and a *respectable outlook.

Hello skiers and snowboarders,

We are expecting some light snow on Friday for the mid-slopes of 1 to 3 inches, and that is represented in the map below. These totals are for Mt. Baker, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, and Crystal Mountain. White Pass may get a trace of snow.

Saturday, there are just light snow showers for mid-slopes, and Sunday, the forecast models suggest that much of the day should be dry with some sunbreaks at times.

Monday, a weak weather system moves in to bring light snow for the mid-slopes. We are looking at some good news in the extended outlook. (*respectable)

Extended Outlook: April 1 to April 5

A cool and wet period is in the extended outlook (see maps below), and that is good news some fresh snow to enjoy.

THE BEST chances of snow will be on April 3 and April 4 when a trough of low pressure drops down from the northwest.

Forecast models suggest snow levels drop to 3000' and bring some respectable snow. It is too early to start talking about exact snow totals. We will have the good news updated in the Sunday forecast.

The maps below represent the outlook for April 1 to April 5. The first map shows below normal temperatures, and the second map shows above normal precipitation.
