Mild and Sunny for Friday-Saturday. Extended has Possibilities.

Hello skiers and snowboarders,

We will have a weak ridge of high pressure in place for Friday and Saturday, so we can enjoy spring-like conditions. Mild and sunny! On Sunday and Monday, a weak weather system glances our region. However, most models bring the snow well to our south. The map below reflects that, along with the cumulative snow from today through Sunday afternoon.

A few models bring some chances of light snow late Sunday and Monday but amounts look limited. In fact several models show no new snow.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Friday - Sunny and mild

  • Saturday - Sunny and mild continues with some high clouds late

  • Sunday - Up to 1" in the evening

  • Monday - Up to 1"

Not snow ... but it's not rain like that AR we had!

Extended Outlook: March 4 to March 7

For much of the upcoming week, we will see dry and cooler conditions as the graph below reflects. These are the general conditions at 4000' for much of the local ski resorts. Although there is a slight chance of a few isolated snow showers, I don't think it will be more than a trace, if any. There is some hope of snow returning next weekend. We will update this on Sunday.
