February snow- finally here for the PNW.

The snow is starting, Hello skiers and snowboarders,

The ridge of high pressure that has brought us so much sunshine over the last week will move out of our region. In place of the sunshine, the powder will be delivered.

The first map below shows snow for the period ending Saturday morning and the red colors indicate close to 10" for Baker, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, and Crystal Mountain. These totals are for the mid to upper slopes; the lower slopes will have slightly lower totals. Some of the higher slopes could easily exceed 10". The Inland areas will also get 5 to 8" of snow.

Snow will continue through the weekend, which should provide great conditions for Saturday and Sunday.

The cumulative snow by late Sunday is represented in the second map below. Baker, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, and Crystal Mountain are in the orange (15") and much more for the upper slopes. Enjoy!

There will also be some light snow for Monday.

HIGHLIGHTS

❄️Friday: 5" to 10"

❄️Saturday: 5" to 8

❄️Sunday: 3" to 6"

❄️Monday: 1" to 3

Extended Outlook Feb 4 to Feb 7

Tuesday through Friday of next week we are expecting dry and cold conditions. The map below is for Stampede Pass at 4000' reflects this. Some mornings start at 10 F. The good news is that the powder delivered this weekend should provide great skiing for the week. Some models suggest snow returns for next weekend, 2-8. Make sure you check out our update on this coming Sunday.
