Hello Skiers and Snowboarders,

Short-Term Forecast
Monday, we will remain under a ridge of high pressure and continue with dry conditions.
Tuesday, a weak weather system glances our region for chances of light snow for the mid-slopes. With cold air trapped at the surface and warm air aloft, Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass might have a wintry mix of snow/freezing rain at the pass levels for late Tuesday.
Wednesday, an area of low pressure moves in for a chance of snow in the afternoon. However, the best chances will be mainly for the Mt. Baker area.
Snow and Weather Summary
Monday: Continued dry for the day.
Tuesday: 1 to 2" late afternoon/evening for mid-slopes
Wednesday: 2 to 4" for Mt. Baker
Thurs-Sun: Periods of snow (Extended)
Extended Outlook: Thurs. Jan 29 to Sat. Jan. 31
Thursday through Saturday, we will have a trough of low pressure off the coast to bring us periods of snow. This will bring us a moist west to southwest flow. This will bring snow levels at 4200 to 5000' at times. More details about snowfall on Thursday, January 29.
Some subscribers have asked if we see any major weather changes for early February to bring us much colder and more powder. Well, sadly, several forecast models indicate the return of the ridge of high pressure for early February to bring warmer conditions, with low chances of powder. We will keep you apprised if and when more favorable conditions arise.
