DAILY DOSE OF DAYDREAM

Hello Skiers and Snowboarders,

Short-Term Forecast

Monday should be a great day to enjoy some sun and spring skiing conditions for the afternoon. During the day on Tuesday, an area of low pressure moves in from the north to bring snow first to Mt. Baker in the afternoon. Then the snow will spread to the rest of the area on Wednesday. This is depicted in the map below. All slopes will get snow on Wednesday, and it will be windy at times, but I think we will enjoy all the powder. Check out our extended outlook.

Snow and Weather Summary

  • Monday: Sun breaks

  • Tuesday: Snow for Mt Baker in the afternoon

  • Wednesday: 5 to 8"

Snow and Weather Summary

  • Friday: 1 to 2" mainly near Mt. Baker late in the day

  • Saturday: Trace of snow, if any, early

  • Sunday: Sun breaks for the day, except near Mt. Baker

Slopes: Elevation General Guidelines

  • Lower Slopes - Under 4000'

  • Mid-Slopes - 4000 to 5500'

  • Upper-Slopes - Above 5500'

Extended Outlook: Thursday, March 26 to Saturday, March 28

Additional light snow at 3000' for Thursday. Friday and Saturday, a ridge of high pressure builds, bringing sunny, mild afternoons. This should mean ideal spring skiing conditions. Next update Thursday, March 26.

Interior B.C. Resorts

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort should get up to 12" (30 cm) on Wednesday and early Thursday. Other inland resorts will also get new snow.
