Hello skiers and snowboarders,
How cool is March?! Here are some very happy powder totals for the 24 hours ending this morning: Mt. Baker 22", Stevens Pass 9", Snoqualmie Pass 8", Crystal Mt. 14", White Pass 14", Mission Ridge 4", 49 Degrees North 10", and Silver Mt. 12".
This new snow will make for great skiing this week with continued cool conditions and light snow. Snow levels on Monday and Tuesday will be close to 2000'.
Later Wednesday, and more likely on Thursday, a strong area of low pressure will move inland. Forecast models are suggesting up to 10" mainly on Thursday.
It will be windy on Wednesday and Thursday so expect poor visibility.
By Friday morning, many areas will get 8 to 10" for the 24 hours ending Friday morning. The map below reflects that. So that is great news for these areas, Mt Baker, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, and Crystal Mt.
HIGHLIGHTS
Monday - Up to 2"
Tuesday - 2 to 4" (windy)
Wednesday and Thursday - (windy)
6 to 10" (most of that on Thursday)
Slopes- Elevation General Guidelines
Lower Slopes - Under 4000'
Mid-Slopes - 4000 to 5500'
Upper-Slopes - Above 5500'
The map below is snowfall for the 24 hours ending Friday morning, March 21.

Extended Outlook: March 29 to March 31
We will continue with weather systems that move into our region bringing snow and cool temperatures. Stampede Pass (4000') will get 30" cumulative snow by March 31. Once again, this is the extended outlook, but I have a high level of confidence as most models agree on the cool and wet pattern over this period.
The graph below shows the extended outlook for Stampede Pass (at 4000' SE of Snoqualmie Pass), and the cumulative snow through Monday, March 31, is 32". That total is reflected in the very bottom row.
